    BNC - HEADQUARTERS BUILDING

The project emphasizes a design featuring large interior spaces, in which the structural system—comprising two rows of central columns and deep-cantilevered slabs—is combined with facades that were specially designed and factory-manufactured, then assembled on-site as large-scale elements.

At the eastern end of José Malhoa Avenue, the headquarters building of the BNC – Banco Nacional de Crédito Imobiliário, S.A. stands out prominently due to its size and location, particularly in relation to the large open space of Praça de Espanha. Between the sections located at the tops of the building’s vertical structure and connected on the upper floor by a horizontal volume, the large central glass panel appears suspended above the entrance atrium, forming a negative space against the horizontal structure, offering a view of Praça de Espanha, and serving as a transitional element to the Mosque.
