    Esteveira Country Inn

Located on the southern shore of the Castelo de Bode reservoir, in the municipality of Tomar, the Esteveira estate enjoys a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape and the vast expanse of water formed by the waters of the ZĂŞzere River.

The Zêzere River originates in the Serra da Estrela and is the main source of Portugal’s second-largest river basin, after the Alqueva, which stretches over 60 km.

Associated with the Knights Templar, Tomar is a city with a character all its own; both the city and the region of Portugal to which it belongs boast a military and religious heritage of immense value, featuring innovative examples of global significance that represent different eras and styles.

The project is thus located in a region of strategic importance for tourism in Portugal, a fact even recognized in the Municipal Master Plan of Tomar, which designates the entire national territory as rural land with a focus on tourism.

The proposed hotel in Esteveira offers guests the chance to enjoy the surrounding landscape and a preserved and restored natural environment, dominated by cork oaks, orange trees, and pomegranate trees alongside Mediterranean vegetation, as well as direct access to the water.

Guests will thus enjoy their stay at Esteveira by taking advantage of the hotel’s facilities, exploring the grounds and surrounding area, participating in activities and sports on the reservoir, and staying at “glamping” sites carefully chosen to ensure privacy.
